Biography

NSM is the multidisciplinary practice of graphic designer and art director Nicholas S. Martin, operating between New York and Kraków. Rooted in the Bauhaus lineage—drawing from pioneers like Brockmann and Hofmann as well as the spirit of David Carson and TDR™—the studio’s aesthetic is distinctly bold, loud, and immediate. By treating every brief as a structural inquiry, the practice favors an uncompromising approach defined by disciplined grids, expressive typography, and a deliberate refusal to submit.

As a creative force dedicated to shaping culture, Nicholas collaborates with forward-thinking brands and artists who challenge the status quo. His diverse background extends beyond traditional design, encompassing the publication of a lifestyle magazine, the orchestration of global nightlife events, and the curation of mixtapes for industry icons like Snoop Dogg.
