Green Label Sound


Supported and funded by Mountain Dew, Green Label Sound launched in 2008 as a full service singles record label. Since it’s inception, GLS has gone on to release singles, videos and remixes from The Cool Kids, Matt and Kim, Chromeo, Neon Indian, Flosstradamus and Caroline Polachek, Theophilus London, Holy Ghost!, RAC, and more.

All singles and remixes were made available to fans via free mp3 download on the official GLS website or through the iTunes store. Artists who partner with Green Label Sound received long-term support and access to a variety of PR and Marketing services.

With every artist being different, the visual identity of the GLS brand needed to be unique. While maintaining an appeal to a young demographic, it needed to be kept minimal in order for consumers to focus on each individual artist or release. This allowed for a variance in aesthetics across the board, where each release presented a different challenge.
